Title - Invasive Plant Identification and Management
Date - September 17, 2022, 9:00am - 11:30am
Location - Equinox Preserve, Manchester Center, Vermont
On Saturday, September 17th the Equinox Preservation Trust, in partnership with the Vermont Land Trust, will be hosting a workshop for people interested in managing non-native invasive plants (NNIPs) on their property.
Using the management work that is being done on the Equinox Preserve as a backdrop, this workshop will focus on identifying common NNIP species, how these plants impact the ecology of local forests, and what are the best methods of controlling them. There will be some off-trail walking but nothing strenuous. This is a rain or shine event, so dress accordingly and bring along all your questions about invasive plants! We will meet in the Burr and Burton student parking lot at 40 West Union St., Manchester Center. Free and open to the public. Registration limited to 25.
