Hi all,
First Robotics is coming to Stowe! This fall and winter we are launching competitive robotics teams, serving kids in grades 4-12.
Join First in Vermont executive director Scott McCalla for an info session at the Stowe Parks and Recreation Department (336 Park Street) on Tuesday, September 6th, from 7-8:30pm.
Parents, kids, educators, and interested volunteers are welcome! Robots will be present!
First Lego League Challenge (grades 4-`8) - Friendly competition as teams of students engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game.
First Robotics Competition (grades 9-12) - Under strict rules and limited time and resources. teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams while also fundraising to meet their goals, design a team"brand," and advancing respect and appreciaton for STEM within the local community.
"FIRST Robotics is the only sport where every student can go pro..."-- Dean Kamen, Co-Founder of FIRST
