A rain of golf balls from a hovering helicopter. That's what you get when the Rotary Club of Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg holds another of its annual golf ball drops at The Kwini Club Driving Range, in Shelburne on Friday, September 16, 2022. We did it last year and it was a rousing success, netting more than $11,000 which was distributed among the Fire and Rescue services of our three towns.
So, hold the date, at 4PM on that date. The winning ball is the one that gets in the hole (or nearest the pin) and its 'owner' will get $1,000 with the next two balls netting $500 and $250 respectively. The 'owner' of the ball farthest from the hole will get a large gift basket of golf-related items and Vermont products. The odds are great as there are a limited number of balls. Additionally, golfers and wannabes can compete in the Long Ball driving competition using The Kwini Club's power tees and TopTracer Range. Prizes will be offered for longest ball and closest to the pin. Proceeds will support the purchase of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and other emergency services in our area.
Winners need not be present. To 'purchase' a ball number and for fuller information visit our club's website at: https://cshrotary.eventgroovefundraising.com/dropaball2022
Ball numbers will also be available for purchase at the site at the time of the event.
