Series Workshop - How to Talk to Children About Race

Join The Children's Room and Waterbury Area Anti-Racism Coalition for a hybrid 5 session workshop on how to talk to young children about race, racism and anti-racism with Emma Redden and Grace Aldrich of The Full Story School (https://www.thefullstoryschool.org/). We will meet over 10 weeks to start building a practice of talking with kids about race and racism grounded in their own lives. We will learn some history of the creation of race, consider how that history has impacted our mind and body, and to build language to use with young people. For parents, relatives, care providers and early educators...all adults with young children in their lives. Sliding fee scale. Priority and free registration given to BIPOC.
