Calling all Burlingtonians! Thursday, August 4 is looking to be a possible peak event for electricity usage from 5-7pm. Energy prices for the year are set based on how much energy we use as a city on the hottest days. If we lower our usage tomorrow from 5-7pm, costs go down.
Additionally, if we meet Thursday's goal and successfully Defeat The Peak, we will donate a portion of the savings to Heineberg Community Senior Center!
Burlingtonians can lend a hand by taking steps on what is projected to be an unusually hot summer day. Read about the energy-saving measures you can take here:

We at Burlington Electric Department also have an entire page dedicated to the many more ways you can save energy and money on these hot days.
