Mauricio Ramirez, Chicago mural artist, invites the community to help paint an enormous mural on the side of Shaws this Wednesday, the 3rd . Folks will help spray paint the 140' long mural. Please bring a mask, ideally a vapor mask, to participate. Just show up in that time frame to help, or just to see how it's going up and meet the artist. There may be other days to help, but this is the artist's suggestion for the best time to participate.

The mural will be officially unveiled during the August 5 Montpelier Arts Walk

The Shaws mural was commissioned by the Montpelier Public Arts Commission and Montpelier Alive, w/ support from the Pomerleau Real Estate and Shaws. The artist was chosen from a national Call to Artists that received 55 submissions from Vermont and national muralists, and is the Commission's largest award and piece to date.
