Calling all soccer players, families, artists, music and food lovers. Join us for the 10th annual World Soccer Festival to celebrate the global spirit of soccer, for players young and old.
At the center of the Festival is a 3 v. 3 kids round robin-style mini tournament. Children entering 3rd-8th grades sign up with teams of 4 and pick a country to represent. Each team will play 3 games in their age bracket and every player will receive their team flag. A parade of countries and players precedes the games.
Additionally there is an adult exhibition game featuring new Vermonters from around the world. Sambatucada, Burlington-based Afro-Brazilian drum band plays throughout the game, you can't help but move and groove.
Face painting, an art project, 8th grade WSF graduation ceremony, local world foods and ice cream round out the event. You don't have to play or be the family of a player to come enjoy the Festival.
This one-day, high energy event promotes local community, cultural diversity, and the life-long love of sport. Soccer brings us all together!
