Curious about Electric Vehicles (EVs)? Please join us at the Saxtons River 4th of July parade at 10 AM on Monday July 4, which will include 6 different locally owned electric vehicles! We hope to have them located in the parade away from the sirens so you can hear how quiet they are. Some of the owners will park after the parade on Main St. near Pleasant so you can look "under the hood" if you're interested. For example you may think of a Mustang as a "muscle car" but the all-electric Mach E is actually a small SUV with available AWD! Many of these EVs have a range over 200 miles and the cost to recharge them works out to roughly $1.50 a gallon compared to the average gas powered car. The 6 EVs in the parade will be Chevy Bolt, Volvo XC40 EV, Polestar 2, Volkswagen ID.4, Jaguar iPace, and Mustang Mach E.
