If you are looking for a way to combat stress and promote well-being, join me at the Westford Common Hall on Sunday morning from 9 - 10:15am for a well-rounded yoga practice. We start with focussing on our breath and quieting our minds. After a gentle warmup, we dive into a sequence of asanas or poses to build and maintain strength, flexibility and balance. The session ends with a cool down and rest (Savasana).
All levels of experience are welcome; it is never too late to start. I will adjust the practice to the needs of the students to make it accessible and fun.
Aside from a mat, please bring a sweater and socks or a blanket for Savasana. Also, I encourage you to bring props like straps or a long belt and blocks or a thick book (Harry Potter will do).
I am asking for $10 per session or just pay what you can. Please, arrive a few minutes early to sign a waiver and allow time to get settled into the space.
In case you don't know me, my name is Doris Bittruf. I have lived in Westford for almost eight years. I have practiced yoga for more than 20 years and I'm passionate about teaching it to promote well-being. I am currently continuing my education with classes on Kundalini Yoga, Pranayama (breath work), Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and meditation. I am also an avid reader and enjoy volunteering at the Westford Public library.
If you have any questions, please send an email to info@happycat.yoga.
Hope to see on Sunday,
