GAY TRIVIA June 23rd. 7-9 PM Babes Bar Bethel
Anyone can play but it's gonna be gay. 5 rounds of LGBTQ+ trivia and prizes hosted by Babes Bar co-owner, Jesse. Team of up to 6 can compete. Event is all-ages but you must be 21+ to drink alcohol.
PRIDE PROM June 24th. 6-9 PM Bethel White Church
An ALL-AGES event located at 129 Church Street in Bethel VT. Theme is Bethel in BLOOM with flowers galore. Participants are encouraged to wear what makes them feel comfortable and fabulous in this body-affirming and gender-affirming space. Youth DJ and a Prom Royalty ceremony. A changing area will be available on the premises for outfit changes.
FAMILY MEETING June 25th. 12-1:30 PM Arnold Block
The first of a new weekly meeting for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and are sober or seeking sobriety. This meeting will be non-theist and open to people of all faiths. The meeting will be informed by healing justice, body positivity, and recovery programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Marijuana Anonymous (MA).
BURLESQUE & DRAG BALL June 25th. 8-11 PM Babes Bar SOLD OUT / WAITLIST ONLY
A night of Burlesque & Drag featuring Vermont artists Emojii Nightmare, Golden Mystique, Rhedd Rhumm, Czechoslovakia, Domini'que Anjou, and Libby Lawless. Must be 18+ to attend and 21+ to drink alcohol. $10 cover.
PARIAH (MOVIE SCREENING AND DISCUSSION) June 26th. 2PM Bethel Town Hall
ALL AGES screening of Pariah, a 2011 film written and directed by Dee Rees. It tells the story of Alike, a 17-year-old Black teenager embracing her identity as a lesbian. Discussion to follow facilitated by the Bethel Equity and Inclusion Committee.
