After years of planning, effort and community based fund raising, the Cross Vermont Trail Association is pleased and excited to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bridge over the Winooski River. The steel truss bridge - installed in November 2021 - is found upstream of Montpelier - is CVTA's keystone project linking the eastern half with the western half of the Cross Vermont Trail.

The ceremony will be at 230 pm near the western end of the bridge.

Parking will be limited at the site but there will be plenty of parking at the Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center so arrive early, park at the CVMCC and then ride your bike, walk or run about 1 mile out the Powerdam Road to the ceremony and the bridge.
