Town and Village Planning Commission Meeting June 4

Past event
Jun 4, 2014

Zoning Rewrite Update - The planning commission has completed its grant funded work on the new town and village zoning regulations (The Hyde Park Land Use and Development Regulations). However, a first draft of the new land use regulations won't be ready for the required public hearing process until later this year. Next Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the municipal office, the Commission is working on one of the last major sections in the new bylaw: the list of future land uses (also know as the "use index").

The use index is the list of allowed and prohibited uses for each parcel. For example, should the town continue to allow commercial and industrial uses mixed with residential parcels? Where should Gas/Deli service stations be allowed or prohibited? How should the North Hyde Park and Hyde Park Village be developed?

The Commission appreciates landowner input at any time. If you have suggestions or areas of town that you feel strongly about, June 4th is a great opportunity to be heard. Comments or questions can be directed to any planning commissioner at any time (members are listed at www.hydeparkvt.com) or by phone (888-2330 x2) or sent via email to ron@hydeparkvt.com. Hope to hear from you soon!
