In March, GMT discontinued multiple services across many of its routes, including four services on the Montpelier-Burlington LINK Express. These service cuts were labelled "temporary", but GMT is now proposing to make them permanent.
If you are impacted by these cuts, or if you feel strongly about the need for mass transit services in Montpelier, you can raise your voice in several ways:
- GMT public hearing via Zoom: Wednesday April 6, 5:45pm - https://ridegmt.com/public-hearings/
- "GMT staff will be present at the Montpelier Transit Center on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 3:00-6:00PM to discuss changes to the Montpelier LINK Express service."
- GMT survey on which LINK Express services should be cut: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QXSQ937
- GMT Director of Marketing and Planning Jamie Smith at jamie@ridegmt.com or 802-540-2468 (by Friday April 8)
- GMT Commissioner for Washington County: https://ridegmt.com/board-of-commissioners/
- your Legislative and District representatives
