Come enjoy our new exhibits for April & May featuring the work of three woman who work in a variety of mediums including watercolor, oils, charcoal and colored pencil. This exhibit will be on view until May 29.
Originally from Northfield Carolyn Zuaro's exhibit spans 16 years of her artistic trajectory; including studies from college, graduate school, and drawings done at community drawing sessions. The language of line and lively mark making are central to Zuaro's work, as they capture the personality of her subjects. Several recent works indicate her desire to merge the human form with elements of abstraction in order to broaden our ideas about the body.
Last fall artists Lynn Spencer and Heather Snyder worked together on an "artist challenge" using a 4 x 4" format to create one piece each day for 30 days. Each artist chose their own medium and subject/theme. Lynn chose imagery from nature using color pencil and acrylics; Heather chose watercolor and pen. As a result of this challenge, both artists have seen their studio practice develop, their art making increase, and their friendship deepen.
