Brookfield Bees Open Maple Sugar House March 26 & 27

Past event
Mar 26, 11 AM to 3 PM, Mar 27, 2022

Brookfield Bees is happy to once again be participating in the Vermont Maple Sugarmakers Open House weekend this year! We invite people to attend on Saturday March 26th, and Sunday March 27th, 11-3pm. We collect sap in tubing by gravity and a few buckets with no vacuum. We boil on a wood fired arch with no reverse osmosis and no automatic draw-off…just good old fashioned maple syrup, pressure filtered and packaged in glass so the purity is clear to see. Come watch us boil and learn all that is involved. We are asking that masks be worn in the more confined sugarhouse space. Outside in our open air barn we will have complimentary sugar on snow, maple treats, sampling of different syrup grades, mulled cider and no masks necessary. We will have maple syrup, honey, frozen unpasteurized cider, honey, beeswax candles, soap and shea butter skin therapy for sale in the barn as well. Join us at 1148 Kibbee Rd in Brookfield, and on your way stop in at Fat Toad Farm 787 Kibbee Rd and stock up on their award winning caramel. Sugaring season is mud season so all wheel drive strongly recommended. Directions and more information at www.brookfieldbees.com.
