In addition to fresh sweet cider we will also have boiled cider, honey, candles, soap and maple syrup available for purchase. There will be apple-related snacks and cider tasting for free.
Despite a great bloom in May, many apples did not set which resulted in a reduced crop for 2024. As a result, we only have about two thirds of the apples we usually harvest. In 2023 we ended up with 14 boxes of apples. This year we have a little more than 8. The apples are all now "sweating" in their boxes, developing sugar.
Prices for fresh cider are $8/gallon and $4/ half gallon. Boiled cider or cider syrup is available at a price of $9 for 8 oz, $12 for 12 oz or $16 for a pint. Call ahead for carboys 802 276 3808 (no text).
