Going Up the Country – a Staged Reading

Past event
Apr 9, 2022, 2 to 4 PM

Lost Nation Theater presents a staged-reading of a new play with music by Eric Peterson and John Foley (best known for Pump Boys & Dinettes). The show is based on Yvonne Daley's book "Going up the Country" – which explores how the Counterculture (all those hippies, dreamers, and radicals moving up here in the 1960's -70's) changed Vermont and offers hope for America.

Join us in the creative process of bringing a new work to life on stage.

Lost Nation Theater's Founding Artistic Director Kim Allen Bent leads this talented cast of four actor/singer/musicians - Sorsha Anderson, Ann Harvey, Robert Nuner, David Ruffin – along with the playwrights through an intense workshopping week, which culminates in a staged reading of the new show – the latest of LNT's commitment to "Vermont projects."

The performance will be followed by a talkback with the creators and actors.

Keeping our community - audiences and artists – safe is our number one priority. So by attending in person you are agreeing to follow LNT's Covid-Safety protocols, which include wearing a mask at all times, and providing proof of vaccination for entrance.
