Past event
Feb 24, 2022, 10 AM to 3 PM

The Middletown Springs Historical Society (MSHS) is hosting a free workshop on caring for antique textiles on Thursday, February 24, 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at the MSHS building on the green.

Using textiles in the MSHS collection, participants will learn how to properly document, photograph, and house textiles for storage using acid-free materials. The workshop is open to museum volunteers and to individuals who want to learn how to take care of their heirloom textiles.

The workshop instructor is Michele Pagan, a professional textile conservator in private practice, and a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation.

All participants must be vaccinated for COVID and wear masks. Bring your own bag lunch. Coffee will be provided.

If you would like to register for the workshop and/or would like to be informed about future collections conservation events at MSHS, please contact David Wright at montvert@vermontel.net or (802) 235-2376.
