Questions for District 3 Candidate Forum February 10

Past event
Feb 10, 2022, 6 to 7:30 PM

Voters! Please register your questions by 12 noon Wednesday, February 9. Capital Area Neighborhoods will share selected questions with the four candidates ahead of time.

Tom McKone, former Executive Director of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, will moderate two Q&A sessions in the online forum on Thursday, February 10 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Save the date!

Candidates will answer those advance questions in the first Q&A session. The second session will be for new questions that arise during the forum.

Registering for this event is encouraged though not required. Voters may submit questions for the candidates in advance by registering in any of the following ways:

• Register on Eventbrite using the link: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/capital-area-neighborhoods-40843667243 and submit your question(s) for candidates.

• Email CAN@sustainablemontpelier.org with your name, and question (if any). We will register for you in Eventbrite, so you will receive the calendar invite, zoom link, and reminder on your email.

• Text or call and leave a voice message on 802-828-7374 if that is more convenient.

If you agree, share your name, and neighborhood/street, and if outside of District 3, explain how the Q&A applies to you.

District 3 has two seats available for Council elections: a 1-Year and a 2-Year position.
• Two candidates are running for the one-year term: Gene Leon & Jennifer Morton.
• Two candidates are running for the two-year term: Cary Brown & Alice Goltz.

All four candidates are invited to participate so that you can get to know them better, learn their reasons for running and hear answers to questions from you, the District 3 Voters.

The forum will be virtual using this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83013066461 or call-in: +1 929 205 6099; Meeting ID: 830 1306 6461.

The candidate forum will be recorded if you're unable to attend. ORCA Media will provide public access to the recording.
