February Art Walk

Past event
Feb 4, 2022, 4 to 7 PM

Award-winning ice carver Murray Long of Wicked Good Ice will be featured at Montpelier Alive's Art Walk, supported by Northfield Savings Bank, on Friday, February 4th from 4-7pm. Watch Long in action as he puts the finishing touches on a sculpture made especially for the Capital City in City Hall Plaza. Attendees at February's Art Walk will also enjoy art by local and regional artists at 18 vendors throughout Montpelier.

Art Walk provides a fun and casual way to experience art, meet local artists, and explore downtown Montpelier shops, restaurants, and galleries. Participants can pick up an Art Walk guidebook and begin their walk at any of the presenting venues.

In addition to the ice sculpture at City Hall Plaza, this month's Art Walk will feature new mixed-media work by Susan Calza at the Susan Calza Gallery on Main St., as well as Paul Markowitz's mobiles on view at Three Penny Taproom. Carolyn Shapiro's drawings, paintings and sculptures will be on display at City Hall. John Snell will present a slideshow on the porch at Montpelier's newest restaurant, Hugo's, and Brian Slopey will display his nature-based photographs at North Branch Café. The Front, CAL, and T.W. Wood Gallery are among many of the regular venues who always have new and interesting art on the walls.
