Wintervale is a family-friendly, outdoor winter festival that celebrates the Intervale's recreational, educational, and community-centered opportunities. It will take place on Sunday, March 6 from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm in the Intervale at 282 Intervale Road, Burlington, VT. Proof of COVID vaccination will be required for anyone ages 5+ and masks will be required unless eating, drinking, or adequately social distancing. Wintervale is free of charge and open to the public. Donations to support trail maintenance and event support are welcome.
Scheduled activities include free snowshoe demos, kids' activities, and an appearance by Champ. There will be Lake Champlain Chocolates hot chocolate samplings with SlowFood Vermont and maple syrup tastings with Runamok Maple as well as food and beverages for purchase from a variety of local vendors including Zero Gravity, Farmers & Foragers, and Taco Truck All Stars. Enjoy music from local DJs while safely engaging with local businesses and organizations including Intervale Community Farm, Alnobaiwi and the Vermont Indigenous Heritage Center, Skirack, Burlington Parks, Recreation, & Waterfront, Winooski Valley Parks District, and Northfield Savings Bank.
