Every late fall, the legislature's Joint Fiscal Office organizes presentations regarding the fiscal status of the state for legislators as a preview of major issues that will be before us in January. One of the "benefits" of COVID has been the rapid increase in access to events that may have required in-person attendance in the past. This will be the first time that this important and valuable briefing session will be fully public and accessible on live-stream.
The briefing is on Wednesday, December 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The YouTube live link is https://legislature.vermont.gov/committee/streaming/vermont-joint-fiscal; it can be accessed for all or any part of the presentations.
The Joint Fiscal announcement notes that pursuant to the order of the Joint Rules Committee, masks are required for entry to legislative spaces. There is limited seating for the public in the upper portion of the House Chamber for in-person viewing.
