Hi Huntington Community,
This Saturday Dec. 4th at 9AM behind the Town Office, we plan to cover the goat chomped knotweed stubs with black matting and heavy plastic. We're inviting anyone to assist us, as the matting is heavy and the plastic whips in the wind while we cover it with tires. A couple extra hands would be greatly appreciated. With enough assistance we could complete this in an hour. We'll have additional gloves and loppers available but please bring the items along if you have them.
The Goat Gang project has taken place for two seasons and the goats have successfully grazed down the invasive in order to keep it from surrounding the Town Office and choking out nearby plantings.
Perhaps we'll see you Saturday.
