FYI from Richmond

SunCommon will be doing a presentation at the Richmond Free Library on Wednesday, May 21 from 7:00 - 9:00 called Solar Homes: Heating and Cooling Info Session

Solar Home Heating and Cooling allows Vermonters to heat and cool their homes with clean, fossil-free energy at about 1/3 the cost of heating fuel.

Combining solar power with heat pump technology can reduce a home's use of traditional heating fuels by as much as 80% and can cut heating bills by half. This workshop will cover the basics of solar power and heat pumps: how they fit into our state's energy plans, how the "no upfront cost" offering works, how the technologies work, what government incentives are available, etc.

This workshop is being sponsored by the Richmond Climate Action Committee, Richmond's Town Energy Committee.
