The Racevermont.com Annual Fall 5K 10K & Half Marathon is this Sunday, November 7, 8am to 12pm. Runners start and end at Shelburne Field House. This is a very scenic event.
Here are the runner routes for each length.
The 5K route- Staggered start beginning at 8am leaving Athletic Dr. to Harbor Rd. Runners turn around just before Bay Rd and return back to the Field House.
The 10K route- Staggered start from Athletic Drive to Harbor Rd. Runners turn around just north of the Harbor Rd S-Turn and return back to the Field House.
The Half Marathon route- Staggered start from Athletic Drive to School St (runners head around the streets of Stokes, Tracy, Heritage, and Davis), then to Depot Rd, Limerick Rd, then Harbor to Shelburne Shipyard, then back on Harbor Rd to Athletic Drive back to the Field House
Staggered Starts- To limit road congestion and help separate runners during Covid runners leave in 3 second intervals based on their projected finish time...fast to not as fast.
Shelburne Police will support this event. Police will be positioned at Athletic/Harbor and Harbor/Bay. Many thanks to the Shelburne Police, Shelburne Recreation, and the Shelburne Residents.
