Dear Ward 5 neighbors,
We appreciate reading the ongoing dialogue and different viewpoints expressed on the current state of public safety. In the interest of continuing this conversation in a productive forum, the Ward 5 Neighborhood Planning Assembly is hosting a special meeting on public safety next Thursday, November 4, at 7:15pm. The meeting may be attended in person at 645 Pine Street (DPW) or virtually via Zoom (login details below).
The format of the meeting will be a moderated panel discussion and Q&A with public officials and policymakers, including Acting BPD Chief Jon Murad. We will discuss community viewpoints and concerns related to public safety. We will also use this meeting as an opportunity to discuss the Sears Lane encampment. For details on additional panelists, stay tuned to Front Porch Forum or https://www.npa5.org. If you would like to submit questions beforehand, please email Ward 5 NPA steering committee member Ben Traverse at bentraverse@gmail.com.
