For those that missed my previous post a few weeks ago, I have recently been crowned Mrs. Vermont America 2014 and will be involved in a number of events throughout my year of service, in supporting the children here in Vermont.

I am also partnering with The Vermont Agency Foundation and hosting an event where I will be shaving my head if I can raise at least $25,000 for the Vermont Cancer Center to support initiatives in pediatric cancer. A minuscule sacrifice compared to the incomprehensible challenges families and children face in the fight against cancer.

My first fundraiser (to help me reach my goal) is coming up next week. It's a Benefit Dinner on Wednesday, May 21st at 6pm at the Bobcat Cafe & Brewery in Bristol, VT. They will be donating 20% of their proceeds that night to the Vermont Cancer Center to support initiatives in childrens cancer. Please bring your friends and family out for dinner and help support me in this special and personal cause. Thank you so much.
