Revised 5/17 Lucet and Braiding Workshop @ Spl - Sign Up Soon!

Past event
May 17, 2014, 10 AM to 12 PM

This coming Saturday, 5/17, Lausanne Allen will teach a Lucet and Braiding workshop at the Starksboro Public Library. This is not your typical braiding!! Lausanne will bring examples of different types of braids used by different cultures (4 strands or so) and the group will be able to decide which to learn. The Lucet is a simple tool that enables the user to make a square braid. Go to this link for a simple explanation and to see what it looks like -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucet.
These types of braids can be used for cording, embellishment, and other uses I too will learn about.

This workshop is FREE but REGISTRATION is a must! The number of lucets will be the limiting factor so contact us by Thursday evening to get a spot . You can call the library at 453-3732 or email starksboropl@comcast.net

Thanks!
