On Wednesday, October 23rd at 7PM, Jasper Oliver, the coordinator for Adult Programming at the Pierson Library in Shelburne, Vermont and I will be discussing the art of storytelling, specifically what makes a great story and how the universal appeal of the being in nature is the perfect subject for a good yarn.
I've been writing unusual stories about fishing and the outdoors for about 30 years and I've geared my work to folks who've never baited a hook as well as to the lifetime angler. My new book, The Flies Are Too Damn Small: Adventures of a Deeply Flawed Angler is filled with odd and interesting characters like a man who catches sharks and bluefish with a drone, another who fashions fishing lures out of toilet chains, and two guys who purposely engineer a stampede of grasshoppers. Join us for what is sure to be a fun, interactive evening of storytelling on October 23rd at 7PM at the Pierson Library, which is located at 5376 Shelburne Road in Shelburne and please bring some of your own stories with you.
