Tree as Self June 22

Past event

For Nature Lovers ~ Gardeners ~ Artists ~ Writers
Educators ~ Mystics ~ Intuitive Explorers

As humans, we share 50% of our DNA with trees! Please join us for an adventure of self reflection and empathy with the Other, drawing upon archetypes of the Green Person. Using the Identity Abacus as tool, we will lead you in a process of mapping your unique identity. As a result you can gain a fuller understanding of your diverse, fluid, whole self.

Then delving into the tree-human connection, we will learn about and explore:
*cross-cultural perspectives of tree knowledge and wisdom,
*the natural history of trees,
*how to develop an intimate connection with a tree.

You will integrate these experiences by designing in clay the shape of a seed which symbolically merges your identity with that of a chosen tree to create a seed-image for the next chapter of your life story.

When: Sunday, June 22, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Raindate: Sunday, June 29.) Bring a bag lunch. We will provide drinks.

Location: W. Brookfield, Vermont at the home of Kathy Kinter where the land and its inhabitants offer a place of belonging for all who come to experience gifts of beauty, inspiration and ordinary magic as the seasonal rhythms of life are danced around the pond, streams, gardens, wetlands, fields and woods.
