Stowe Vibrancy is honored to present the 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Rocks! Celebration in Stowe at the Mayo Fields on Saturday, October 9th, 2021.
The national holiday formerly known as Columbus Day has been officially recognized by the State of Vermont since 2019 as "Indigenous Peoples' Day". This is a day that allows us to celebrate the vibrant culture of Vermont's recognized tribe, the Abenaki, along with other Native American tribes and traditions from neighboring Nations.
Stowe's 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples' Day Rocks Celebration will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols as we present a day-long Native American celebration headlined by Blues Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Blues Award winner, Joe Louis Walker.
This day-long celebration of Native American educators, storytellers, drummers, artisans, and food vendors will culminate in a rousing rock and roll concert from Vermont musicians Dave Keller, Vermont Jazz Trio, Bella Sances, along with the incomparable Joe Louis Walker.
The cultural and educational day portion is FREE and open to the public. Advance tickets for the evening rock performance are $25; $30 day of show. Rain date ~ October 10th. Do not miss this, as this is sure to be another sellout Stowe Vibrancy event!
