Training for Emergency Animal Sheltering
September 25th, 2021, Barre, Vermont, 9-4.
When a community disaster requires families to evacuate their homes VDART (Vermont Disaster Animal Response Team) steps in to provide emergency shelters for pets. Vermont has teams across the state ready to mobilize at a moment's notice. In fact, two teams were put on standby when hurricane Henri threatened our area.
If you are interested in learning about this process you are welcome to attend a free Emergency Animal Sheltering (EAS) training, hosted by CVDART (Central Vermont Disaster Animal Response Team).
This is a state wide event, open to both VDART members and interested members of the public. Previous sheltering experience is not required to attend.
This will be hands-on training.
Visit https://vermontdart.org/training-2021/ or email cvdart2017@gmail.com for more information and to register. Open to all. Proof of COVID Vaccination required.
