Atlantic Crossing Plays May 16

Past event
May 16, 2014

Atlantic Crossing will open this season’s music series at Lincoln Peak Vineyard on Friday, May 16, 6-8 pm.

Whether rocking the dance floor at a contra dance or playing for a rapt concert audience, Atlantic Crossing has been, for over a decade and a half, a favorite in Vermont. Their music– the traditional music of New England– is deeply rooted in the Celtic British Isles and in French & Maritime Canada, and their arrangements reveal a profound love of these traditions, together with creative and emotional expression and a healthy dose of fun.

Band members include Viveka Fox on fiddle, bodhran, & djembe; Tristan Henderson on mandolins, tenor banjo, feet, & vocals; Rick Klein on guitar & vocals; and Peter Macfarlane on fiddle, low whistle, & vocals.

As with all Lincoln Peak's shows, the “doors” open at 5:30 for picnicking.

Local cheeses available for sale, and wine by the glass. Admission is free. Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. The Wine Down Friday series happens rain or shine– there’s room on the winery porch in the case of rain. No alcohol may be brought onto the grounds, and please leave your pets at home.
