PUTTING FOOD BY
When: Wednesday, August 25 1:PM-3PM
Where: Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Hall, Richmond
Cost: None

Have you enjoyed your garden's abundance this summer? As usual, it's been mixed results for many of us because of the weather...too cold, too much rain, too much of a good thing? Lots of really fat zucchinis out there!

But - Now that summer's coming to an end, what can you do to stretch the joy and deliciousness into the next season?

Come to our inspirational and educational confab "Putting Food By" to get ideas for wonderful things you can do with all those tomatoes, herbs, cabbages, etc.… And then learn some techniques for putting your seasonal abundance into mason jars.

AND THEN we'll even have samples for you to taste!

Food gifts are very popular for the holidays, as house-warming gifts, potlucks. Come tell us a story about how many dozens of canning jars your grandmother had in her larder. Could you be using your freezer more effectively? How do you know it's safe? Come! It'll be fun and you'll learn some things!

Please, come join us! Wednesday, August 25 from 1:PM to 3:PM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Hall, Richmond. Organized by your Community Senior Center. No Charge.
