Fletcher and the Pretty Likelies at Parker Pie Saturday 8/21 from 6:45-9:45. It will be an outdoor event rain or shine.
This new group has been delighting local audiences with authentic 1950s and 1960s barroom country music this summer. Led by Robin Fletcher's powerful, expressive singing in the "stone country" style, the band performs old favorites and long-forgotten songs of heartache and longing by Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, the Stanley Brothers, Lefty Frizzell, Buck Owens, and many others. You will enjoy the rich vocal harmonies, thumping honky-tonk rhythm section, and pure country picking and fiddling by your neighbors Robin Fletcher, Annie Rowell (double bass and vocals), Lee Blackwell (drums), Jim Pitman (pedal steel), Mike Drury (lead guitar) and Geordie Lynd (rhythm guitar, fiddle, and vocals). If you like old country music, come out, eat some great pizza, and get your heartstrings worked over by Fletcher and the Pretty Likelies this Saturday, 6:45-9:45.
