Are you an educator interested in making sustained change towards liberation in how you teach? Educators across a range of educational demographics and settings are invited to a somatic workshop on positionally, for example: dance/arts educators, P-12 educators, higher educators, professional/adult educators, herbalist educators, somatic educators, and more!

On August 21 from 9am-3pm, The Everything Space will be hosting a Positionality Workshop for Educators that incorporates somatic practices, facilitated by Alexia Buono, PhD.

In this workshop, participants will be guided through personal, relational, and somatic interrogations of their own positionalities, including a critical learning and analysis of power, privilege, oppression, and liberation. Teachers will learn about the nuance of developing a positionality statement, and will begin drafting their own statements oriented around their identity and work as educators. There will be facilitated discussions on the 'so what' or applied practice of positionality work, and how it is a part of the process towards transformative change in education.
