If you haven't been vaccinated yet, stop in at the Bennington Museum Pavilion during this Friday's Concert in the Courtyard and get your shot! This is a free, walk-in clinic brought to you by the State of Vermont and will be open from 4:30-7pm.

From approximately 5pm to 7pm Bennington Museum will host a free Concert in the Courtyard. This week's performers are Heard a collective of musicians that bring their skills and passion for world music, jazz and improvising together to create irresistible grooves set in a unique sonic tapestry. Together for a decade, their vibrant sound incorporates influences from West Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean and beyond. Their debut CD Karibu reached #15 on the WorldJazz charts and 2018's daring Flyway is similarly garnering much critical acclaim. Energetic & upbeat, Heard will open your ears & hearts..and get you up and dancing!

The public is encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs and to arrive early as the courtyard capacity is limited.

The Avocado Pit will set up shop in front of the Museum's gates, serving delicious tacos, beer and wine. Food may be eaten anywhere on the grounds, and alcohol may be consumed within the gates and other designated areas.

Kids of all ages will find a fun makerspace on the lawn where they may create art based on art and objects featured in the Museum. Activities led by Museum ABCs educators will be provided free of charge with a suggested donation in support of art supplies.

The Museum galleries are open for free until 7pm on Fridays. The Museum is located at
75 Main Street, Bennington. 802-447-1571.

In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled by 2pm on Fridays. Check our facebook page for updates, https://www.facebook.com/benningtonmuseum.
