The Central VT Humane Society Walk for Animals is a fun, family event in Montpelier to raise funds and awareness for the animals in need in our communities. It's a 3.1 mile walk which starts at the Montpelier Recreation Field, loops through downtown and returns to the event pavilion for a celebration and prize ceremony. Cake, free giveaways from pet supply vendors, and dog training demos are all part of the celebration. You don't need to be a pet owner or have a dog to join in the walk - just a love of the furry ones and a desire to help them!

Collect pledges for the animals by creating an electronic pledge sheet or by downloading a paper pledge sheet from the CHVS website at http://cvhumane.com. Every walker who raises at least $50 will receive a Walk for Animals T-shirt! Special prizes will be awarded to the top earners in the adult, kid, and team categories. And all pledges are tax-deductible!

The funds raised from the Walk for Animals are used to support the daily activities of CVHS which include the care and enrichment of over 1,200 animals each year. CVHS depends on the kindness of the community to fund their life-saving programs and couldn't do it without you! Hope to see you there :).
