During July and August, the First Congregational Church of Berlin (1808 Scott Hill Road) will be hosting a series of six evening sessions in West African drumming. Jordan Mensah, FCCB member and co-director of Shidaa Projects (with Heather Preis) will be teaching the drumming techniques of Ghana and leading the group in shared drumming using those techniques. The series starts Tuesday July 13th and continues for the next five Tuesday evenings, ending August 17th. Each session will be held 6:30-7:45 pm and will be held in the upstairs parish hall of FCCB. We are asking a fee of $50 from each participant for the entire series of six sessions. If you have a drum, please bring it, or let Heather and Jordan know that you need a drum when you register for the series.
