Future Genius, a non-profit organization based in Winooski, will be running a five-day long "Beta Masters" program from July 12th through July 16th at East Montpelier Elementary School. Kids will develop computer games centered around key sustainability issues, and in the process, will develop strategies for critical thinking, problem solving, and public speaking! Knowing that this year has been spent mostly in front of a screen we will balance the time spent inside with plenty of opportunities to head outside and enjoy the fresh air. The camp is being offered free to anyone who wants to join, so please think about this opportunity if you're trying to give your son or daughter something to do that week!
