We will meet again to continue clearing the borders of Cota Field and the entrance to the Creekside Trail on Wed. June 30, at 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Join us if you would like to help or are interested in learning how it can be done safely.
Wear long sleeves, long pants and gloves (gauntlett style is great but not necessary), bug spray that will work for ticks, glasses or goggles sometimes recommended but not usually necessary to protect your eyes.
Bring a shovel if you can. We will have some special parsnip popping shovels to demonstrate with and extra shovels to lend.
A large plastic bag may be useful in case the plants are beginning to go to seed.
We'll teach anyone who is new how to do it safely and simply. No hard digging is required. We just break through the root just below the crown and generally leave the pulled plant to the side.
See you on Wednesday evening!
