Vermont Youth Dancers presents "Immortals, A Hero's Journey on Mount Olympus"
Four shows in total, Thursday, July 8 at 5:30 & 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 9 at 5:30 & 8:30 p.m - Synergy Center for Dance & Performing Arts, 16 River Road Jericho.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic supper to this fun outdoor theatre experience at Synergy Dance! VYD is thrilled to be onstage performing locally once again in "Immortals," an original Vermont Youth Dancers full length production! While two young sisters visit a museum on a school trip, the statues of the Greek gods unexpectedly come to life! When Hades steals her younger sister to the underworld, Stephanie must find her strength, courage and any new friendships she can make with the gods and goddesses around her to bring her sister back. It is the story of someone trying, not succeeding, and continuing to pursue everything she must to overcome all odds and triumph in the end.
We have all faced many challenges this year, and the joy of live theatre in the summertime is something not to be missed!
Tickets will be available at the door, with some limits on seating -- first come first served. Please join us and support this vibrant community non-profit that builds and supports our young people! It is magic.
Nearly all the kids in this performance take on 2 different roles for the same show. In the first show of the evening they may play a god or goddess or be ensemble and the second show of evening they may be ensemble or a different gods or goddesses. They have been working so hard. Let's show them the love they deserve! Please come cheer for them and recognize all the hard work they have put into getting this show on stage!
