Waitsfield School was very fortunate when Kathi Orr, upon retiring from classroom teaching, decided that she wasn't quite ready to leave education. In 2011, she joined Waitsfield School as the school administrative assistant-- and the glue that holds the school together. Kathi, who has history at the school as both a student and a parent, is kind, calm, organized, professional, fun and highly committed to her work. After 41 years in public education, Kathi has decided to retire, again. We invite the community she has served to stop by and wish her well.

On Friday, June 11, we will pry Kathi away from her desk; she will be under a tent, outside, from 7:30 - 9 a.m, to chat with any and all who stop by to share a story or just thank her for the smiling grace she has brought to her job for the past 10 years.
