Hello Everyone,

Nice to see a few Spring-like days so your thoughts are probably turning to your work in the garden. The Islands in the Sun Senior Center has been closed for our usual fund-raising activities, but the bills have not stopped. On May 22 we will be holding our plant sale to raise money to cover some of those expenses, but we need your help.

As you progress in your work in your garden, please keep an eye out for places that need just the right plant to add color to your home.

Please support the Center; it's the only one in the county. Throughout the pandemic we held a food shelf every Saturday, to help bring much needed food to the community. We also provide you with wonderful community dinners, picnics in the park, chicken barbecues, as well as a beautiful venue to hold private parties. And last but not least our Wednesday night Bingo will be opening as soon as allowed. So please remember, our plant sale will be open at the Senior Center on May 22nd for all your veggie seedlings and some great perennials at prices less than a commercial nursery. And for such a good cause!
