Join the Huntington Community Forest Stewardship Committee on Wednesday, May 12 at 7pm for a virtual presentation by the University of Vermont masters-level Field Naturalist team "Landscape Inventory and Assessment" class. The Team has been conducting ecological and land-use history analysis, investigation, and research on the new Huntington Community Forest for the past several months.
From mapping natural communities and forest conditions, to uncovering clues to past human history on the land, to documenting wildlife presence, to developing recommendations for ongoing stewardship...this project has taken a deep dive into the landscape of our new Community Forest.
This presentation is the culmination of their assessment and we're excited to share with the community as we learn what they have found.
The presentation will be held via Zoom, toll-free phone number is available.
