Green Up Day at Oakledge Park

Past event
May 1, 2021, 8 AM to 12 PM

Do you love Oakledge Park? Are you interested in helping maintain it's beautiful natural spaces? Want to join a group of like-minded neighbors and community stewards for a park-wide clean-up this Spring?

If so, join the Oakledge Park Team for this year's Green Up Day on Saturday, May 1st! Join us at any time between 8am and 12pm for this much-loved, spring clean-up tradition that activates thousands of Vermonters to get involved in their communities in picking up litter. Please sign up here so we can get a good sense of how many people are coming: https://forms.gle/CEAiTqHPuYGbosSH9.

The number of volunteers and volunteer hours will determine the scope of work we can complete; please invite any neighbors who may be interested! Scope of work will also determine the clean up supplies we can provide (official Green Up Day trash bags will be provided, along with maps of designated clean-up areas in the park).

Oakledge is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a public park. Together, we can help ensure our park is a clean, welcoming, and well-used public space in the heart of Burlington's South End. This Green Up project is a joint effort between Burlington Parks, Recreation, & Waterfront (BPRW), members of the Parks Commission, and neighbors like you!

If you have any questions, please contact Ben Traverse (btraverse@burlingtonvt.gov) and Nate Lantieri (natelantieribtv@gmail.com).

See you at the park on May 1st!
