Subject: Travelogue: Around the World

On Monday, April 5 at 1:30 join wildlife biologist and photographer Tom Rogers for a virtual photographic journey around the world. In the year between finishing graduate school and getting married, Vermonters Tom and Julia Rogers headed out on a year-long trip visiting sixteen countries on four continents. They awoke to the howling of monkeys in the jungle and went to sleep listening to the gentle ring of yak bells high in the Himalayas. They met a king, herded goats, rode elephants, and swam with sharks. They visited mosques and monasteries, temples and churches, danced to the celebration of Ramadan and broke bread for Shabbat. They tasted fine wine and exotic foods and things that made them sick to their stomachs. They drifted down gentle rivers through the rainforest and dodged the endless traffic of Asia's mega-cities."
