Rabies Clinic
Huntington and Richmond Town Clerks are sponsoring a Rabies Clinic on Saturday, March 27, 9 am to noon. The clinic has been moved from the Huntington Fire House to the Town Garage, which is located behind the firehouse. There is plenty of parking.
In order to keep social distancing in place and have everyone be as safe as possible during the pandemic, the Huntington/Richmond Rabies Clinic on March 27 will be conducted, as much as possible, by appointment, so we don't have a lot of people milling around or waiting in line.
This clinic is available for dogs and cats. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be crated.
Microchipping is also available.
Here is how it will work:
1. Appointments are scheduled for five-minute intervals and you can sign up on this link: Rabies Clinic Sign-Up.
2. Please fill out the form, so your paperwork can be prepared ahead of time. You can also prepay for your cat or dog's vaccination ahead of time by credit card or bring a check.
It is hoped that the registration will expedite the process and get people and their pets in and out without a need to wait. That is the goal.
2. The last 15 minutes of each hour will be available for unscheduled appointments (drop-ins). These will take longer since there will be paperwork to be filled out at the site.
The clinic is scheduled in late March in order to allow dogs to be vaccinated in time to make the state's mandatory dog registration deadline of April 1.
Please plan to observe COVID protocols, including not coming if you are not well, wearing a mask when you get out of your car, maintaining social distancing. Thank you.
