We are nearly two months into the legislative session and only days away from COVID-style Town Meeting Day across the Lamoille-2 District (Belvidere, Johnson, Hyde Park & Wolcott)!
Every year around this time, I connect with a deep sense of pride in my state and my community. Active engagement in local issues and local politics is a staple of Vermont; this is rarely on greater display than during Town Meeting Season.
Every day via social media, Front Porch Forum, the local newspaper, or my email inbox, community members are speaking up passionately about the issues that most impact them and their quality of life in Vermont. This dialogue and advocacy, from every side of every issue, keeps our systems functioning and ensures that our towns and our state reflect the needs of all of our community members. Thank you for your engagement!
In this spirit, Representative Dan Noyes and I are offering monthly Community Conversations. Every fourth Saturday of the month, from 9a.m. - 10 a.m., Dan and I will be available to talk about the issues that are most important to you. Come with questions or just come to listen. All are welcome.
There are a few ways to take part in Community Conversations. At this time, they will be held via Zoom and livestreamed on YouTube. If you would like to participate in the Zoom meeting, please RSVP at the link below in order to receive the link. If you simply want to watch the conversation, but don't want to participate directly, you can watch on YouTube.
