“Landowner Alert”

On Monday August 19th at 7:00 P.M. the Select Board will hold their first required public hearing to consider adopting dramatic changes to our long-standing zoning and subdivision rules that will reduce your property rights by at least 75%. Under the new rules lot area requirements will go from 2 or 3 acres to 10, 12 or 15 acres for a single family home. From the tone of the Select Board debate over these rules, it is expected that at least 3 of the 5 members support the proposed changes. They need to be told clearly to leave your land alone. This message has fallen of deaf ears so far. Fill the Town Hall on Monday night and tell them to reject the proposed changes.

We all received our tax bill recently, which we are obligated to pay. This is some “thank you” to have them to now reaching into our pockets to swipe all the value that they can with these new rules. Tell them NO! Tell them to keep their hands in their own pockets.
